Samuel Wayne Trowbridge

Samuel Wayne Trowbridge, 86, of Cave City, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born June 6, 1936 in Sulphur Well, Kentucky to the late Sam Henry Trowbridge and Corine “Tat” Jefferies Trowbridge. Samuel grew up in Center, Kentucky and moved north to work for General Motors. He lived in Lambertville, Michigan from 1960-1991. After 30 years of working as a Fork Tuck Operator for General Motors, he retired and lived in Cave City, Kentucky since 1991. Samuel was a Lambertville Volunteer Firefighter from 1962-1964, was Treasurer and a Charter Member at the True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, Michigan for 25 years, and was a member of Coral Hill Baptist Church in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran.

Survivors include his loving wife, whom he married on November 25, 1960, Nancy Sue Scroggin Trowbridge; three daughters, Twila Jean Trowbridge Brown (Frank) of Monroe, Michigan, Valerie Rose Trowbridge of New York, Stacy Renee Trowbridge Barrick (Nathan) of Glasgow; one son, Steven Wayne Trowbridge (Denys) of Toledo, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jonathon, Stephanie, Joshua, Sarah, Jordan, Matthan Trowbridge, Bentley Barrick; four sisters, Norma Ruth Wallace (Carroll), Dottie Emagine Houk, both of Louisville, Sharon Lee Byrd (Joe), Lou Ann Trowbridge, both of Cave City; and one sister-in-law, Joyce Trowbridge of Toledo, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kerry Eugene, Freddy Dale, and Lendal Devon Trowbridge.

The funeral service for Mr. Trowbridge will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 9th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Asbury Cemetery with military honors provided by DAV Chapter #20. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
