GLASGOW — A man was arrested Thursday after police conducted an investigation and found he had shared online images of sexual material involving a child.
The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crime Branch arrested Kaven T. Eder, 21, on charges related to possession of child sexual abuse material. Eder was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
A search warrant was executed at Eder’s apartment in Glasgow. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Eder is currently charged with three counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old and one count of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old. These charges are Class-C felonies punishable by five to ten years in prison.
Eder was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
