Kenneth Earl Burnette

Kenneth Earl Burnette, 87, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 at his residence.  The Indianapolis, IN native was a retired regional sales manager of Consolidated Sales, former owner and operator of Mr. D’s Auto Mart, accomplished saxophone musician, member and tenor of the Crownsmen Quartet and promoted shows with numerous professional gospel quartets headlining the concert.   He was a lifelong member of the United Pentecostal Church and helped establish three churches in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.  He was a son of the late Carlie Burnette and Mildred Lee Burnette. 

He is survived by his wife:  Rachel Leah Burnette, Scottsville, KY; 

1 sons:  Kenneth Douglas Burnette (Tiffany), Bowling Green, KY; 

1 daughter:  Shelly Phillips (Billy), Scottsville, KY; 

4 grandchildren:  William Trent Phillips (Victoria), Brittany Rachelle Phillips, Kendyl Alexandria Wingate (Jordan) and Dawson Alexander Burnette; 

2 great grandchildren:  Carsten Carter and Ava Smith; 

Locally, 1 niece:  Lavece Smith, Scottsville, KY and 

Several other nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a son:  David Earl Burnette,  2 brothers and 3 sisters. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at the Laura Turner Chapel with Bro. Elvis Farley officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. until funeral time Wednesday at the Laura Turner Chapel.
