CAVE CITY – Officials are on scene of a fatal collision along Highway 90 in northern Barren County.
Little details were provided about the crash, which is reported near the 8000 block of Happy Valley Road. That’s just south of Crystal Onyx Cave. The vehicles involved are a commercial semi and passenger vehicle.
The roadway will be closed for roughly four hours for accident reconstruction, according to an 8:52 p.m. report from Barren County Emergency Management. Motorists are urged to use an alternate route from Old Happy Valley Road to Highway 31W.
The accident is the second fatal crash along the stretch of roadway over the last two weeks. A Barren County man was killed when a crash occurred near the 9000 block of Happy Valley Road on Sept. 8.
