Albert “JuneBug” Ray Jr.

Albert “JuneBug” Ray Jr. of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Albert Arvin Ray Sr. and Sudie Mae Scott Ray, was born on Sunday, March 30, 1958 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, September 10, 2022. He was 64 years, 5 months, and 11 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. He served four years for the United States National Guard. He was also an HVAC journeyman and worked for A-Plus Comfort Care. He was a member of the American Legion – Rod Lowe Post 124.

He is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law: Heather and Joshua Richard, Jennifer Hicks all of Campbellsville, and Sadie Ray and her fiancé, Matt Hurley of Greensburg; four sons and three daughters-in-law: Allen and Anna Ray, Mickie and Emily Ray, Chris and Anna Ray, and Seth Ray all of Greensburg; a brother: Larry Ray of Summersville; a special nephew Steven Bowles of Greensburg; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Lydia Ray; seven brothers: Mickey Ray, Dee Ray, Ronnie Earl Ray, William Ray, Twyman Ray, James Ray and Bill Ray; four sisters: Alene Underwood, Nora Coats, Sally Walker, and Helen Wright.

The funeral services for Albert “JuneBug” Ray Jr. will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hudson Cemetery. Bro. James Walker officiating.

Visitation is requested from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Tuesday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Family Burial Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
