Mildred Cox McDowell age 90 passed away Tuesday at Barren County Health and Rehab Facility in Glasgow.
She was born in Edmonson County to the late John & Cova Sanders Cox. She was a housewife and a member of the Cherry Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. McDowell was preceded in death by her husband Oral, a son Danny McDowell, her brothers David & Wilburn Cox and her sisters Marie Phillip & Mae Cox.
She is survived by her children Ricky McDowell(Laura), Richie Meredith(Michelle), Dougie Kerr(Leanne), Paul McDowell, Steve McDowell(Rachel), Lynn VanMeter(Aaron), Julie Trujillo & Gail Stovaugh(Joe); brothers Joe Cox, Howard Cox & Haskel Cox; sisters Brenda Cox, Carolyn Cox & Bernice Poynter; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral service for Mildred Cox McDowell will be 2pm Thursday, July 21st in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in the Cherry Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-2pm Thursday at the Sego Funeral Home.
