Allen, Muhlenkamp among superintendent finalists

GLASGOW — Glasgow Independent Schools revealed Tuesday four individuals who could replace outgoing superintendent, Keith Hale.

A screening committee charged with reviewing applications and putting forth recommendations presented Monday evening a short list of finalists to the board.

– Amy Allen, Principal of Glasgow High School

– Cameron Jackson, Director of Pupil Personnel and Transformation for Fleming County Schools.

– Chad Muhlenkamp, Director of Pupil Personnel and Facilities Director for Glasgow Independent Schools

– Matthew Perkins, Assistant Superintendent for Muhlenberg County Schools

Phil Eason, a consultant with the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA), is assisting the Glasgow Independent Schools Board in this process.

“It’s easy to understand why each member’s respective group selected them to serve in this very important capacity,” praised Eason. “They were very focused, thorough and purposeful in fulfilling their responsibilities.

According to the media timeline released by the screening committee, a new superintendent will be revealed to the public on Monday, July 25.
