Rebecca “Becky” Rich Ray, 79, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, June 30th, surrounded by her family at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.
Becky was born in Tompkinsville, KY on September 12, 1942, a daughter of the late Mary Melissa “Maude” (Simmons) and George Moore.
On May 3, 1958, she married Joe Rich, who preceded her in death. After his passing, she married Max Ray on March 29, 2014.
Becky was first and foremost “Mama” to her family. She also worked at Sewing Factories and for the Monroe County Board of Education for over 15 years. She was a member of Cornith Church of Christ.
Becky is survived by her husband, Max Ray, of Tompkinsville, KY; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Louise Graves and Edward, of Tompkinsville, KY; Stacey Michele McPherson, and Kenny of Summer Shade, KY; Kristi Annette Bartley, and Tony, of Tompkinsville, KY; and two sons, Gregory Joe Rich, of Tompkinsville, KY and Barry Moore Rich, and wife, Suzannah, of Nicholasville, KY; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Becky is also survived by a sister, Ruth Cloniger, of Iron Station, North Carolina.
Other than her husband, Joe Rich, and parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Agnes Marie Moore, Nellie “Allene” Moore, Mary “Evie” Rush, Reva Corinna Bartley and two brothers, George Thomas Moore and Waymon Harold Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3rd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Burial to follow at Freedom #2 Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Becky’s memory may be made to Freedom #2 Cemetery, Bailey Cemetery or Cornith Church of Christ.
