GLASGOW — Authorities arrested a man and two others along Bryan Street after they discovered a child playing alone in the roadway.

Glasgow Police said officers discovered the child’s home and met the father, Drew B. Sims, 27, of Glasgow. He had active warrants, according to a department news release. Officers also detected a marijuana odor from inside the home.

Officers were denied consent to search the home but were able to obtain a search warrant, they said. Various drugs, including oxycodone, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were inside the residence.

Sims faces charges relating to drug possession and wanton endangerment.

Two others were arrested, too. It’s unclear what their connection to the child or Sims is.

James C. Keeton, 31, and Felicia G. Hunter, 36, face one charge of endangering the welfare of a minor. Hunter also faces various drug charges.

All were lodged at the Barren County Detention Center. The child was taken into protective custody.
