GLASGOW — Several more candidates have filed for area offices since the primary election was held last month. The latest candidates include those for offices such as area school boards and city councils.
The filing deadline for most offices was Jan. 25. Other offices such as school board positions and city councils do not require candidates to file until Tuesday, June 7 at 4 p.m. local time.
Several candidates filed as early as May 2 and others filed as recent as Thursday.

The candidates listed here are the latest as of 1 p.m. Thursday, according to a report obtained from the Barren County Clerk’s Office.
The General Election ballot draw is slated for Thursday, June 9 at 2 p.m. It will be held inside the Barren County Fiscal Courtroom. Offices with more than one candidate will be allowed to participate in the drawing, which will determine their position on the November ballot. The public is invited to attend.
