Amy Jay Green, age 66, of Glasgow, died Sunday, May 8, 2022, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Glasgow on July 29, 1955, to the late Jessie Poindexter and the late Mattie (Westmorland) Poindexter. She was a retired RN after 29 years at TJ Samson and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Green; one daughter, Sandy Kerr (Curtis) of Glasgow; special best friend, Bernice Maness of Smiths Grove; one aunt, Reba Adcock of Louisville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Douglas Poindexter.
A Graveside Service will be held at Henderson Cemetery at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, May 11th. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Wednesday, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Barren County Animal Welfare Association 175 Trojan Trail, Glasgow, KY 42141.
