GLASGOW — A handful of Glasgow High School’s distinguished alumni will be inducted Sunday into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
The school has inducted several people over the last four years. This year’s class marks the fifth series of inductions.
The inductees include Powell Gillenwater, a member of 1951 class; Wesley Britt, a member of the 1978 class; Mandel Stockton, a member of the 1980 class; Harry Hayes, a member of the 1985 class; J.R. Wade, a member of the 1998 class; Laura Beth Harris Burgan, a member of the 2009 class; and Jerry Eubank, a former coach.
As a part of the ceremony, a shadow box of the athletes’ accolades will be unveiled and later placed on public display in the high school to honor them.
A meet and greet is planned Sunday, May 1 at 1:30 p.m. inside the Glasgow High lobby. The induction ceremony will happen at 2 p.m. inside the school’s auditorium.
