Doris (Clay) Hunt, 85, of Mount Hermon, KY passed away peacefully Thursday, April 28th, while in the company of family, at her residence.
Doris was born in Allen County, KY on April 26, 1937, a daughter of the late Ethel Mae (Spears) and Lester B Clay.
She married J.R. Hunt on June, 25, 1958, who preceded her in death August 11, 2020. She graduated from Allen County High and attended WKU. She taught for a brief period in one room schools, was a dairy farmer, homemaker and member at Dover Missionary Baptist Church.
Doris is survived by two daughters, Vivian, wife of Bobby Key, of Fountain Run, KY;
Jerri, wife of Bart Rowland, of Tompkinsville, KY; two sons Jeff Hunt & companion Sharon of Freedom, KY; Clay, husband of Jan Hunt, of Mount Hermon, KY;
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Darci (Matt), Jessica, Haley, Thomas, Jay Cooper, Cariana, Sarah, Jenny, Meaghan, Heather, Cole & Robbie (Rob), 12 great-grandchildren, Blaye, Raylie, Rosie, Isabella, Gage, Adam, Dollie, Mason, Ava, Knox, Cheyenne & Kali.
Doris is also survived by a sister, Freda White, of Bowling Green, KY.
Her parents, Lester & Ethel Mae Clay, husband, J.R. Hunt & brother, Buddy Clay preceded her in death.
Funeral Service will be held 11 AM on Monday, May 2nd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Brother Mitchell Glasscock will officiate.
Visitation will be held 1 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, May 1st at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. & 8 AM to 11 AM on Monday, May 2nd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY.
Burial at Bethlehem Cemetery, KY.
