One dead after car, buggy crash in Hardyville

HARDYVILLE — A woman has died after a horse drawn buggy was hit Saturday in Hart County.

Kentucky State Police says the injury collision happened just before 6:51 p.m. A crash happened near 6853 Hardyville Road.

A preliminary investigation revealed a white Chevrolet truck was traveling westbound along KY-88 when it struck a black buggy in the rear. Brandon Polson, 33, of Hardyville, was driving the truck.

Robert Miller, 45, of Munfordville, was operating the buggy. He was also heading in the westbound direction.

A passenger inside the buggy, Edna Mae Miller, 44, was ejected as a result of the collision. She was transported from the scene to TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Police continue to investigate.
