Sam Cassidy, 78, of Brownsville passed away at 6:38 AM April 20, 2022 at his home with loved ones by his side.
The Edmonson County native was a lawn care specialist and a member of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Patrick Cassady and Marie Poteet Cassady.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation will take place 2-7 PM Friday and after 10:00 AM Saturday.
Surviving are his wife, Daneila Whobrey Cassidy; two sons, Mark Cassidy of Silent Grove and Todd Cassidy (Laura) of Pig; three daughters, Tricia Priddy of Lindseyville, Jessica Turley (Weston) of Shepherdsville and Crystal Wright (Robbie) of Brownsville; eleven grandchildren, Austin Cherry, Blake Cherry, Noah Cherry, Evan Turley and Collin Turley who were known as “Pappy’s boys” and Rebecca Campbell, Rachael Kerley, Kourtney Goodman, Garrett Smith, Logan Billhartz and Patrick Priddy; and eight great grandchildren.
