Ronell McGrew, age 84 of Brownsville departed this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at his residence. The Edmonson County native was born on August 4, 1937 to the late Bill McGrew and Iva Mae Decker McGrew. He was married to his devoted wife and best friend, Theresa Givens McGrew, who survives.
Ronell retired as a heavy equipment operator from McClellan Stone Company. He was saved as a young boy at New Home General Baptist Church, and attended there until his passing.
In addition to his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— his son, Michael Ronell McGrew (Alisha) of Clarkson; three daughters, Donna Vincent (Ron), Mary St. Onge (Roger) and Rosa Stewart (Tommy) all of Brownsville; eleven grandchildren, Christina Vincent Florence, Brian Barth (Whitney), Sarah Justis (Chase), Jarrod St. Onge (Lauren), Nicole Hinson (Ethan), Bradley Stewart (Elizabeth), Jesse Stewart, Cody Stewart, Myles Ronell McGrew, Macie McGrew and Maysen McGrew; ten great grandchildren, Brylee Barth, Braxton Green, Jaelynn St. Onge, Bradley St. Onge, Noah Justis, Avery Justis, Aubrey Hinson, Keaston Hinson and Walker Neal Stewart and mother of his daughters, Dorothy Lobb. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald, William “Tip” and Bobby “ToJo” McGrew and four sisters, Thelma Rasmussen, Margaret Webb, Wilma Park and Shirley Miller.
Interment will be in New Home Church Cemetery.
