Police respond to two crashes involving injuries

GLASGOW — Local authorities say three people were transported to the hospital Wednesday as a result of two crashes.

Glasgow Police responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Veteran’s Outer Loop and Beaver Trail. A 2020 Toyota Camry allegedly crashed with a 2018 Ford Fiesta traveling toward Glasgow. Police said Lois Barrett was inside the vehicle traveling westbound along Beaver Trail. Patricia Wood was in the other vehicle.

Wood was transported to the hospital for her injuries.

The other incident happened along the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Expressway near mile marker 14. A Chevy Equinox traveling eastbound along the roadway crashed into a ditch line and several trees before it came to rest, according to a news release.

Police said Roger and Robin Lawson were inside the vehicle. Both were transported to the hospital for injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
