Margaret Mary Crabtree, 99, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the Bowling Green Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born in Glasgow, June 18, 1922, to the late Mark Burch Pursley and Tippie Lee Stout Pursley. She had worked as an instructor at the Glasgow Boys Home and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Monroe County.
In Addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Crabtree;
her son, Roger Carol Crabtree (Margie); two grandchildren, Adam Crabtree and Teresa Crabtree; two brothers, Bill & Wilber Pursley; one sister, Mildred Chenault.
She is survived by her children, William Wayne “Billy” Crabtree (Lena), Jerry Lee Crabtree (Betty), and Dennis Neal Crabtree (Shelby); one sister, Lillian Doyle of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Maretta Gail Crabtree Lindsey (Ronnie) of Glasgow, and Cindy Crabtree Horton of Hendersonville, TN; three great grandsons, Timothy & Jonathon Horton of TN, and Joshua Pierce of Glasgow; one great granddaughter, Sarah Pierce of Glasgow; one step grandson Brad Thomas; one great great grandson, Laken Pierce of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, February 9th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00am until time for service at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church in Monroe County. A.F.
