TEMPLE HILL — A man allegedly threatened to ignite his ex-wife’s home after an early morning confrontation in southern Barren County.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to Happy Hollow Loop just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday. A woman called and alerted police her ex-husband was at her residence drunk and beating on her door.
Robert Stinson, 44, was noted to smell like alcohol when authorities arrived. He said “he had drank a couple of Bud Ices prior to coming to the residence,” according to a citation.
Stinson said he knew he wasn’t supposed to be at the home. There were posted no trespassing signs on the property.
The deputy noted Stinson was “manifestly under the influence of alcohol.”
He was arrested and transported to the Barren County Detention Center. Stinson faces three charges: third degree terroristic threatening, third degree criminal trespassing and public intoxication.
