GLASGOW — The filing window to run for political office closed Tuesday in Kentucky.
Below is a complete list of candidate filings since the filing window’s opening Nov. 3.
Glasgow City Officers:
The mayor and city council races are non-partisan which means candidates do not file with a party attached. Only seven of Kentucky’s 416 cities hold partisan elections, according to the Kentucky League of Cities.
A primary election for council occurs when there are double the number of seats plus one candidate. That means there must be 19 or more candidates before a primary is held for the office.

- District 2 — Kristen Haynes (D), Kim Lambert (R), Derek Scott Pedigo (R), Jesse Muse (R) and Gala Huddleston (R). The incumbent is Trent Riddle (D).
