Mr. Lawrence Wayne “Larry” Sparks of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at his residence in Glasgow, Kentucky having attained the age of 65 years, 1 month, and 3 days. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky, on Wednesday, November 27, 1956, the son of Howard Eugene Sparks and Kitty Joyce (McCool) Sparks. He graduated from Cumberland County High School Class of 1974. He attended Center Point Nazarene Church, was a truck driver and dispatcher, and was currently working in parts delivery and sales for Total Truck Parts of Glasgow, Kentucky.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Talmadge and Bobie (Traylor) Sparks, maternal grandparents, Curtis “Curt” and Ora (Baker) McCool.
He is survived by his mother, Kitty Joyce (McCool) Sparks, children, Kassie LeeAnn (& Allen) Sewell of Burkesville, Kentucky, Katlyn Lynette (& Kurtis) Claywell of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Briley Sewell, Kynlee Sewell, Avery Sewell, Kamryn Claywell, Kora Claywell, along with several cousins and friends.
The funeral service for Mr. Lawrence Wayne “Larry” Sparks will be conducted on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 5, 2021 after 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home until the funeral hour on Thursday.
