Gene Autry Haynes, 82, of Caneyville passed away Dec. 15, 2021 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
The Edmonson County native was a truck driver and a member of Community House of Prayer. He was a son of the late Lum Haynes and Zena Bell Haynes and the husband of the late Edna Mae Lindsey Haynes. He was preceded in death by a son, Buck Haynes; a daughter, Lynn Haynes; two grandchildren, Melinda Haynes and Aaron Parks; and a great grandchild, Hunter Payton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Threlkel Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Sunday.
Surviving are four daughters, Willodean Cross (Steve) Mary Haynes and Debbie Haynes all of Caneyville and Donna Riggs (Fineous) of Leitchfield; two sons, Charles Haynes (Leona) of Austin, IN and Darrell Glenn (Missy) of Huff; a brother, Tommy Haynes of Cave City; three sisters, Judy Logsdon of Clarkson and Joyce Ann Williams (Bob) and Janie Mae Gross both of Big Clifty; 30 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.
