Robert Earl Gipson, age 73 of LaGrange, departed this life on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Baptist Health Hospital in LaGrange. The Edmonson County native was born on December 17, 1947 to the late Walter and Lillie Elmore Gipson. He was married to Charlotte Marie Fields Gipson, who preceded him in death.
Robert was a truck driver with Teamsters Union Local #89, and was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves to honor his memory— his children, Loria Lay (Jason) of Benson, NC, Robert Earl Gipson, Jr. (Kelly) of Good Hope, IL, Bryan Gipson (Leslie) of LaGrange; four grandchildren; one step-grandchild; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lester Gipson and Albert Gipson (Katherine) and one sister, Joyce Weber. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Interment will be in Jaggers Cemetery.
