George Bennett Masters, Jr., 74, of Tompkinsville, died Wednesday, December 8th, at Monroe County Medical Center. George was born in 1947, a son of the late Bessie Lee (Baxter) and George Bennet Masters, SR. On May 23, 1970, George married Linda Long at Germany Church of Christ. George retired from Eaton Axle in Glasgow, KY. He served in the US Army, and was of the Baptist faith. George is survived by his wife, Linda Masters, of Tompkinsville, KY; two daughters, Angela Masters, of Land of Lakes, FL; and Lisa Ferguson (Tobi),of Knoxville, TN; two grandchildren, Heath and Rosalind Ferguson. George is also survived by a sister, Dorcas Masters, of Hopkinsville, KY; and a brother, Michael David Masters of Tampa, FL. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Smalling, Vickie and Brenda Masters. Following George’s request, cremation has been chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Yokley Trible Funeral Home
