SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. — An Allen County man was killed in a crash Tuesday morning.
Kentucky State Police responded to the fatal collision shortly after the Allen County Sheriff’s Office requested their assistance. The crash happened sometime before 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and Halfway Halifax Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed Gaylon Guy, 64, of Scottsville, attempted to turn left onto Halfway Halifax Road. He entered the northbound lane and pulled into the path of a commercial vehicle.
Guy was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Impala when the crash happened. A 2018 Kenworth commercial vehicle struck Guy’s vehicle on the passenger side.
Matthew Magyar, 60, of Scottsville, was driving the semi truck during the crash.
Guy was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. No other injuries were reported.
The accident remains under investigation.
