Larry Hartsel Perkins, age 77, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at TJ Samson Community Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Summer Shade on July 26, 1944, to the late Calvin Hartsel Perkins and the late Ernestine (Rigsby) Perkins. He was an EMT, a farmer, and a member of Temple Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hammer Perkins; two daughters, Angie Rich (Kenny) of Bowling Green and Alisa Perkins (Bodie) of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Kodi Kado (Dustin) of Glasgow, Katelyn Cross (Colton) of Bowling Green, Daniel Meredith (Rachel) of Bellville, IL, Tyler Hammer (Tessa) Jacob Manning (Mackenzie), Hadleigh Hammer ; three great grandchildren, Jacks Kado, Charlie Kado, Camden Cross ; one brother, Michael Perkins of Shelbyville, IN; step daughter, Paula Manning (Chris); several close nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Joe Perkins; granddaughter, Chelsea Manning
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 22nd at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, and Friday morning until time for the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
