Lavonne (Ward) Norris, 81, of Glasgow, KY, formerly of Cave City, KYpassed away Friday, October 8th, peacefully, at Signature HC of Glasgow. Lavonne was born in Barren County, KY on November 13, 1939, daughter of thelate Betty (Kinslow) and Ancel Ward. She was married to the late JamesBernard “J. B.” Norris who passed December 10, 2020, she worked at SorensenMfg. for over 27 years and was of the Methodist faith. Lavonne is survived by three sons, Steve Thomas, of Austin, KY; DarrellThomas, of Austin, KY; Jerry Thomas, of Scottsville, KY; step daughter,Libby Hurst, of Buford, GA;three step sons Mike Norris, of IN; Mark Norris, of IN; Wes Norris, ofIN;3 grandchildren, Carrie Leonard, Cameron Thomas & Brittany James & 8great-grandchildren & brother, Douglas Ward, of Austin, KY. Preceded in death by her Parents, husband & infant son, Byron Wood Private family funeral services will be held Monday, October 11 at 1 PM atFountain Run Funeral Home. Burial Concord Cemetery Austin, KY. Visitation for family only will be after 11 AM Monday until service time.
