Melvin Ellis Locke age 81 of Hardyville passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29th at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a life-long farmer and the son of Robert Henry Locke & Wilma Frances Reynolds Locke.
Melvin was a member of Hardyville Union Church, Rio Verda Masonic Lodge, a former fire chief with the Hardyville Vol. Fire Dept. and he was also an EMT with the fire department.
Melvin is survived by his wife Betty Sexton Locke
One son Stuart Locke & his wife Jamie of Bowling Green
One daughter Vanessa Puckett & her husband David of Munfordville
Five grandchildren Megan Beane, Lauren Locke, Alex Locke, Brian Puckett & Amy Puckett
Funeral services for Melvin Ellis Locke will be 11am Saturday, Oct. 2nd in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in the Greens Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8pm and after 8am Saturday at the Sego Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hardyville Union Church or to St. Judes. These donations may be left at the funeral home.
