Delbert Eugene Birge, 71, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at his residence. The Temple Hill, KY native was a retired mechanic, a farmer and Nazarene faith. He was a son of the late Lester Tom Birge and Ernie Lee Turner Birge.
He is survived by his wife: Wanda Birge, Ft. Run, KY;
2 sons: Dennis Eugene Birge, Ft. Run, KY and Jonathan Wayne Birge, Glasgow, KY;
3 daughters: Mary Denise Henson and husband, Todd, Bowling Green, KY; Cathy Gillespie, Ft. Run, KY; Connie Sue Kirby and fiance’, Mike White, Clarksville, TN;
4 brothers: James Lester Birge and Ricky Gene Birge and wife, Brenda, all of Red Boiling Springs, TN; Tommy Dale Birge, Scottsville, KY; Danny Lee Birge and wife, Carlan, Glasgow, KY;
2 sisters: Helen Marie Turner, Franklin, KY and Betty Ann Williams and husband, Johnny, Scottsville, KY;
10 grandchildren: Ashlee King and fiance’, Anthony; Shane King (Haley); Amanda Ragan (Jeremy); Caleb Hardison; Andrea Mattax (Luke); Chelsea Houston (Drew); Amy Birge (Billy); Meagan Birge; Brittany Gauthier (Zack) and Lee Birge;
16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Infant Evie Joyce Birge and Doris Lee Turner; 1 brother: Gerald Wayne Birge and a granddaughter: Bethany Birge.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Wilson officiating and burial in Fountain Run Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday and after 7:00 A.M. Tuesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses.
