GLASGOW, Ky – For those who have searched the Glasgow-Barren County Tourism website in recent months, they might notice a lot has changed. However, it’s almost entirely for the better.
In partnership with the Louisville-based advertising agency, OOHology, the Glasgow-Barren County Tourist Commission has seen an array of positive feedback from both people in the community as well as travelers from around the country and abroad. OOHology’s clientele includes the Kentucky Derby and Louisville Slugger Museums, 21c Museum Hotels and more.
One new feature is the addition of attractions, lodging, dining experiences and everything else Cave City has to offer.
“This is a partnered website between Cave City and us,” said MacLean Lessenberry, Executive Director of Glasgow-Barren County Tourism. “It aligns with our new branding and is now a one-stop-shop for all tourism in Barren County.”
The new website is also more mobile-friendly, making it easier to navigate on phones, tablets and other devices.
Other features include itineraries for trips in the area spanning one-to-three days, an updated calendar of events by Glasgow, Cave City, and other towns in Barren County. There are also links in every tourism-related business in the area, which can be easily accessed through the website’s search bar.
Everything in Barren County, from arts/entertainment and outdoor activities, to historical sites and shopping locations are now easily accessible thanks to this new website. But more importantly, this ensures tourism in the area can compete with anyone else in the Commonwealth, according to Lessenberry,
“The sharp aesthetics and upgraded capabilities of our new website have launched us into this day and age as a viable competitor in the Kentucky tourism industry,” she says. “To stay relevant, we need to stay at the top of our game with our brand presence online and this site is the foundation of that.”
