Pamela Sue Vance, 70, of Rocky Hill, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her
residence. Pam was born in Glasgow on January 31, 1951, to the late Ewell T. Bacon
and Lola Bell Branham Bacon. Pam had retired from Eaton Axle after 27 years, she
loved working and volunteering with children, from coaching sports teams to helping
sell girl scout cookies. Pam loved to laugh and have a good time. She was a 1969
graduate of Temple Hill High School and was a member of Summer Shade Missionary
Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married July 3, 1996, Earl L. Vance of Rocky
Hill, KY; one daughter, Pamela Denise Birge of Glasgow, KY; two stepsons, Brian
Vance Tigner (Christina) of Georgia, and Michael Vance Tigner (Jenna) of Alabama;
one sister, Pat Bradley of Kino, KY; one brother, Barry Bacon (Stacy) of Kino, KY; 5
grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Grace
Simmons; two brothers, Butch Norris, and Bobby Norris.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Monday, August 9, 2021, at the A.F. Crow & Son
Funeral Home with burial in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation
will be on Sunday from 11:00am until 8:00pm and on Monday morning until time for
service at the funeral home. A.F. crow is honored to be entrusted with the care of
Mrs. Vance.
