GLASGOW, Ky – On June 28, 2021 the Glasgow City Council resigned as a trustee of the Lera B. Mitchell Clubhouse, and by agreement with the heirs of the Mitchell Estate, T.J. Regional Health is now the trustee of the facility. T.J. Regional Health is excited to enhance this community treasure and further programs for Seniors age 60 and older and groups that want to utilize the Clubhouse.
In addition to the current activities that take place at the clubhouse (billiards, club meetings, bridge, exercise classes, ceramics, etc.), we will be adding senior health fairs, lunch and learns, and community classes geared towards senior health. James (Happy) Neal will be assuming the role of the Senior Services Coordinator. If you would like to be involved, please contact Happy at 270.651.6641.
Neil Thornbury, CEO of T.J. Regional Health stated, “We see Lera B. Mitchell directly in line with the mission and vision of the hospital, which is really to go out, educate and work with the community especially in the area of healthcare and we see this as a partnership where we can work with many groups and provide those services that will hopefully make a big difference in the groups that utilize Lera B. Mitchell.
