Barbara Ann Chastain, 81, of Adolphus, KY passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at her residence. The White House, TN native was a homemaker, retired employee of Brown Printing and attended Stony Point United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Claude Ervin Wair and Louise Wair and wife of the late Oscar Ellison Chastain, Jr.
She is survived by her husband: Bob Hoagland, Adolphus, KY;
3 sons: Randy Chastain and wife, Becky, Omaha, Nebraska; Burt Chastain and wife, Wanda, Venice, FL and Timmy Chastain and wife, Brenda, the Midway Community;
1 daughter: Kim Chaffin and husband, Darrell, Woodburn, KY;
2 step daughters: Crystal Owen and husband, Andy, and Amanda Cherry and husband, Devin, all of Scottsville, KY;
2 brothers: Jerry Wair and wife, Peggy, Springfield, TN and Claude Ervin Wair, Jr., Whites Creek, TN;
2 sisters: Jean McEwen, Madison, TN and Judy Crouch and husband, Lester, Bonaqua, TN;
11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 1 son: Terry Chastain; 1 sister: Lois Pilkleton; 6 brothers: Robert “Bobby” Wair, Douglas Wair, Walter Wair, Tony Wair, Rodney Wair and Lanny Wair.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Landers officiating and burial in Walker’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Goad Funeral Home.
