EDMONTON, Ky. — A Metcalfe County man was arrested Tuesday after he acted delusional and had the police called on him.
The Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office says Joseph L. Furlong, 41, met with police when they arrived at his home along Subtle Road. He told authorities he believed several people were on his property and they were attempting to break into his home.
Police determined Furlong was under the influence of methamphetamine. A small bag of suspected methamphetamine and syringe was also found in his possession.
Authorities also confirmed no one was on Furlong’s property. He was arrested and taken to the Barren County Jail.
