GLASGOW, Ky. – A woman escaped from a home in Glasgow Sunday after it caught fire.

The Glasgow Fire Department responded to 400 Combs Blvd. in response to a structure fire, and flames were coming from the front and side windows of the home. Fire crews began to extinguish the fire when a female occupant in the yard told fire officials that someone else was inside the home.

Fire officials developed a search crew and entered the home. The fire crew and search crew located the fire room at the same time. The fire had spread to the attic, and officials continued to extinguish it before they located the person.

The female occupant suffered second degree burns, and she was transported to T.J. Samson Hospital. Fire officials were on the scene for approximately two hours.
