GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Presbyterian String Academy recently announced winners of several accolades after its banquet was canceled due to COVID-19.
“All students have worked very hard throughout the course of the year, but a select few have put in time over and above,” said Rev. Charlie Evans, minister of Glasgow Presbyterian Church. “The whole academy is composed of overachievers. Our award winners are, in essence, overachievers from among overachievers.”

Jackson Bower, academy ambassador, also plays cello in the Academy.
“Being selected as a String Academy award recipient…shows their dedication and persistence to get better at their instrument and (the award) should be taken with pride,” Bower said.
