SUMMER SHADE, Ky. – The Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address last Saturday in reference to an assault.
Authorities responded to that address along Froedge Dubree Road.
A preliminary investigation reveals that Haley M. Hunt, 24, of Summer Shade, arrived at the home and became involved in a brief verbal altercation with two adult females.
The verbal altercation escalated, and Hunt assaulted the two females with a wooden axe handle. Both females sustained injuries, a news release said.
One of the female victims sought medical attention, and the other did not.
The MCSO obtained an arrest warrant for Hunt. She was served that warrant Wednesday at an address along Homer Bartley Road. She was arrested on two counts of second degree assault.
