A Historic Reunion is coming up this summer, in our community, that will celebrate a World War II Battle.  The US Navy first put a Naval base on the Island of Midway in 1938 which was in operation until 1998.  Many soldiers fought in the battle of Midway and many more have been stationed at or have been to Midway Island.  Mike Wilson, from Glasgow, and a few Facebook friends came up with an idea, several months ago, to host a Midway Island Reunion here in Glasgow.

Wilson was amazed at the great response he received when he began to spread the word:

With such a large response, Wilson says they are in need of community help:

The Midway Reunion is scheduled for June 5-8, 2014 and will coincide with the 72nd Anniversary of the Battle of Midway.
