PARK CITY MAN ELUDES POLICE, STOLEN MOTORCYCLE RECOVERED PDF Print

On Sunday July 7th,  Cave City Officer Terrill Riley observed a male

on a motorcycle without eye protection. Officer Riley then ran a license

query on the motorcycle, and the query came back that the motorcycle was

stolen. Officer Riley attempted to make a traffic stop on the motorcycle

and the driver would not comply. A pursuit ensued on Mammoth Cave St to

Mammoth Cave Rd, where the motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle, and

attempted to elude on foot. The driver, 25 year old, Billy Rasdall of Park

City, was located hiding in the woods off of Mammoth Cave Rd. He was taken

into custody without further incident.

 

Rasdall was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center with charges of:

No Registration Plate, Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or more, Failure

of Non-Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, No Eye Protective Device,

Failure to Comply with Helmet Law, Reckless Driving, and Fleeing or Evading

Police (Motor Vehicle). The investigation is ongoing at this time.

 

Officer Riley was assisted by Officer Hollis of the Cave City Police

Department, Barren County Sheriff's Office, and the National Park Service.
