MISSING 78-YEAR-OLD WOMAN FOUND DECEASED IN CREEKBED OFF KY HWY. 243 PDF Print

A 78-year-old woman reported missing yesterday was found deceased Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at approximately 5:00 PM EDT.   Patricia Ann Modrelle was scheduled to be at a Doctor's appointment in Danville at 9:30 EDT on Tuesday morning June 28.  When she did not make her appointment and could not be reached by family members, she was reported missing.  After a long search on Tuesday and early Wednesday by KSP personnel with helicopter air support, a ground search was initiated.  Ms. Modrelle was located approximately 3 miles from her home lying in a dry creek bed just off of KY highway 243.  She had driven off of the roadway and through a heavily wooded area,  into the creekbed.  There was no evidence at the scene to suggest that Ms. Modrelle had taken any action to avoid the incident.  Boyle County Coroner Dr. Don Hamner prounounced Ms. Modrelle dead as a result of natural causes. KSP were assisted at the scene by Boyle, Marion and Casey County rescue.
