2024 Aviation Summer Camp

There will be TWO aviation summer camps this year!

The Jim and Jan Bohannon Aviation Summer Camp will take place on July 8-9 and will be open for ages 10 to 17 and The Bob and Cara Pitchford Aviation Summer Camp will take place on July 10-11 and for ages 10 to adult. This way, families can attend together!

Both camps take place 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day at the Bowling Green – Warren County Regional Airport, with drop off and pick up in the terminal facilities. The camps always fill up fast, so apply as soon as possible. Currently the first camp has 26 students registered and the second camp has 5 students registered.

The deadline to apply is May 27, 2024, although, if both camps fill up before this date, registration will close.

The cost for Aviation Summer Camp is $279 per person. Registrations for the 2024 camps are ONLINE ONLY. To apply and pay by credit card visit www.aviationky.org and click on the ‘Aerospace Education’ link at the top. In the dropdown menu, choose ‘2024 Camp Dates.’ Click on the correct tab for city or camp name. Then, click ‘Select’ to the left of the correct camp date.

If you are applying for a scholarship: there are a limited number of scholarships available each year, and they are considered first come first serve. If applying for a scholarship, a $ 20 fee is required, and a camp registration application must be filled out as well.

New this year, campers will get to go to the Aviation Heritage Park and Museum (1825 Three Spring Rd.) to take a tour. Parent approval is considered to be granted since it is a part of the camp program. If parents do not approve, they will need to notify airport staff and make arrangements to pick up the child at noon the day of the tour.
