Charlotte Arlene Brown, 76, of Bowling Green passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, peacefully and with family by her side at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. She was a native of Mountain Ash, KY and was born April 3, 1948. She was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Wayne Chaffin and Robert Brown, her parents Lawrence Earl Jones and Ruby Mae (Wilson) Jones, her sister Gay Jones Tabor and a niece Kristina Leigh Stinson.
Charlotte was a faithful member of Gospel of Peace Church, and she loved the Lord and her family. She diligently worked to help provide for her family. After working for Holley Carburetor for 21 years, she earned her nursing degree and served as a nurse for many years until her illness in 2011.
Survivors include her three wonderful children James David Holmes (Robin), Lisa Denice Embry (Steve) and Robbie Lynn Hymer (Pastor Dennis). A sister Patricia Ann Stinson and her precious grandchildren, Lindsey Denice Scott (Mark), Ashlee RaeAnn Holmes (Taylor), Kristina Kate Holmes (Evan), Caitlynn Elizabeth Riley (Garrett), Caylee Gabrielle Hymer, Carli Beth Hymer and Gabriel David Embry. Her precious great-grandchildren Bryleigh Lynn Simpson, Jaxson Carter Hood, Presley Grace Scott, Asher Lee Riley and Caden Ray Riley. Her nephews and nieces Gary Todd Stinson (Cammy), Patrick Shane Stinson (Libby), Kimberly Ann Klutey (Steve) and Wendy Kay Tabor. Her caregiver, and friend, Donna Moore and her special fur baby Sissy.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 11:00 am at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday 9:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
