GLASGOW – On Monday, joined by family members and friends, senior Mattie Zunnurain signed her letter of intent to cheer for Campbellsville University.

“This is gonna be such a huge step in the right direction for me,” said Zunnurain. “I’m just excited to see how the next four years of my life will pan out at Campbellsville University.” Listen to Mattie’s full interview with WCLU below:

During Mattie’s six-year career at GHS, she has been awarded the 2022 and 2023 All American UCA Cheerleader Award, the 2022 UCA Pin it Forward Award, and will be representing Glasgow High School Cheerleading at the 2024 Kentucky Super Preps Award Ceremony in June.

“It just makes me feel proud as her coach that she’s signing,” said Glasgow Scottie Cheerleading coach Desire Clark. “She’s a great leader on the team, and I think the other girl’s looked up to her as a senior”. Listen to WCLU’s full interview with coach Clark below:

Zunnurain will be lead by April Higdon, who was recently named head coach at Campbellsville University. Higdon has six years of Cheerleading experience and will lead a Tiger’s team that boasted ten Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference student-athletes.
