Ms. Wanda Pearl Jones Tyree, age 68, of Tompkinsville, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Monroe County Medical Center. Wanda was born in the Meshack Community on July 17, 1955, to the late Grady Odell Jones and Lassie Jarene Jones. She was a 1973 Graduate of Tompkinsville High School, and worked for Stitches, Incorporated for 27 years. Wanda spent most of her time working in the yard with flowers and working puzzles.
She is survived by four brothers; Randall Dale Jones of Tompkinsville, Dallas Wayne Jones of Lexington, Ricky Jones and wife Minnie of Tompkinsville, and Grady Lynneth Jones and wife Margie of Tompkinsville. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David Tyree.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Jason Page will be officiating the service.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
