Lizzie Bell Cook, age 97 of Three Rivers, Michigan, departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Birch Meadows Senior Care. The Edmonson County native was born on November 13, 1926 to the late Lucion and Ora “Tincy” Dossey. She was married to her devoted husband, Rumbsey T. Cook, until they were parted by his passing on February 3, 2017.
Lizzie worked in her home and cared for the needs of her family. She loved to sew and quilt, and enjoyed the fellowship with her friends in the Nimble Thimble Quilt Club. She was an excellent cook, and found great pleasure working in her garden and canning. Lizzie was also a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.
She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Teresa A. Sneary (Mike) of Three Rivers, MI and Allen Cook (Jean) of South Carolina; grandchildren, Amie Cook, Ashley Hanberry (Ryan) and David Sneary (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Justice, Aydein, Thomas, Saerenna Bell, Alara, Amelia and Ricky; her brother, Randell Dossey of Scottsville, along with several nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.
