Carson Mudd, age 75, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (April 19, 2024) at his residence.

He was born on March 30, 1949 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Willie Mudd and Virginia Frank Simerly.

He was a plumber and owned and operated Carson Plumbing. He loved singing and praising the Lord in song. He also loved having all his family around him. He was married to Sandra Sue Justice Mudd on December 20, 1965, and they had a loving home for 58 years. To this union were added four daughters, eleven grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.  He was a long-time member and deacon of Free Union General Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Mudd; his children, Angela Kerr (Doug), Laura Thompson (David) and Carsina Wilson (Kenny); grandchildren, Tiffany, Natoshia, Erica, Lee, Ashley, Aleesha, Cassie, Kenny, Keilee, Derrick, and Deandre;  twenty-two great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Judd, Jr., Joey Mudd, and Charles Mudd; sisters, Thelma Levert, Mae Osborne, Bridgett Litton and Lindy Suman.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Marie Turner; sisters, Gail Davis and Lorlie Hines; and brothers, Timmy Mudd and Tony Mudd.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (April 24, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Larry Lacefield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Frank-Embrey Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
