Arvinder S. Chani, age 61, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Arvinder was born in New Delhi, India and is survived by his wife, Swaran Chani; his two children, Devpaul & Aken Chani; his parents, Jagjit & Kuldeep Chani; his brother and sister-in-law, Harminder & Shukti Chani; his niece, Aahana Chani; and many other beloved family and friends.
Arvinder and Swaran were married for 32 years and enjoyed traveling, exploring scenic places, listening to music, and spending time with friends. He was a Psychiatrist and Sleep Medicine Specialist at the Medical Center for about 24 years. Rarely did a holiday or special occasion pass by without him bringing gifts and treats to the office. He was known by his family and friends as inspirational, generous, friendly, and strong. Arvinder was also known to be reliable, steadfast, and organized. He embraced life with boundless love, carved his journey with determination and passion, and was an integral part of familial strength. Arvinder was charming and witty, blessed with a great mind, and found solace in the melody of friendship. He enjoyed photography, movies, expensive spirits and cigars. Coming from India to study in America, he was a foundational part in building his own community. Like an older brother to many, he was a rock for his community, hosting countless events and allowing others to rely on him when needed. The joy and friendships made through this community will continue to survive him into the next generation and beyond.
Visitation for Arvinder Chani will be on Friday, April 12th, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to begin at 2:00 p.m., all at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel, 820 Lovers Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42103. Cremation will follow.
