Rhonda Kay (Howard) Logsdon, Age 62, of Bardstown, KY passed away Friday, (April 5, 2024) at her home in Bardstown peacefully and with family nearby.
She was born on March 3rd,1962, in Stearns, KY, the daughter of the late Rev. David and Katheryn (Bryant) Howard.
She married Richard Wayne Logsdon, her one and only, her meant to be, on March 31st, 1978. Her greatest enjoyment aside from her husband was watching her grandchildren grow. She would play and have activities with them even when her health wasn’t good. She was very proud of her children and the family that they created. She also had some of the best years of her life enjoying Rough River Lake and being a part of the Moose Lodge that help the elderly and orphans. This passion grew to becoming a foster parent for some time and still to this day affecting the lives of children that she encountered. She was a member of New Freedom Church and also attended Smalls Grove Church in which she adamantly took her 3 children until she seen them all saved and shown a Christian way. Her and her husband took care of one another in sickness the same as in health just like promised upon marriage. She was also very thankful for all the care and prayers that she felt and received from churches, family, friends, and BHH cancer center.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Rev. David and Katheryn Howard; daughter, Latisha Lynn Logsdon; Brothers, Craig Howard and Roddie Howard; and close family, Rev. James and Pauline (Oller) Logsdon, David Logsdon, Bernard and Barbara Logsdon, Ralph Hockaday.
She is survived by her Husband of 46 years, Richard Logsdon of Bardstown; Three Children, Matisha Chambers (Brian), Angela Jones, James Logsdon (Cherish), all of Bardstown; Ten Grandchildren, Brandon, Andrew (Hannah), Emily (Jacob), Michael (Courtney), Austyn, Julia (Louis), Madison (Dakota), Callie, Evan, Elliott; One Great Grand Child, Tucker; One God Great Grandchild, Mason; Two Sisters, Lechia Wright (Terry), Tonya Perry (Donald); Two Brothers, Kent Howard, Chris Howard; Three Sister-in-laws, Gloria Hockaday, Cathy Mudd (Manuel), Loretta Logsdon; One Brother-in-Law, Jeff Hester (Jodie); and Several very loved nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, foster children, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (April 12, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Randall Deweese will be officiating. Burial will be in the Logsdon Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
