Ruth Dickinson, age 90, of Horse Cave, Ky, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Signature Healthcare in Horse Cave. She was a native of Horse Cave and a member of Providence United Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Elmore Rountree and Vada Sturgeon Rountree.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Dickinson; one son, Michael Sturgeon; her siblings, Roger Rountree, Nellie Clifford, Mavis Smith, Jr. Rountree, Charles Rountree, Esther Hodge, and David Rountree.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Fitzzalland (John); one son, Tim Surgeon (The late Sandy); several grandchildren, Jana, Missy, Gayla, Erica, Tammy, Jessica, Veronica, DeWayne, Katrina, Danielle, Justin, Johnathan, Tasha, Travis, Derek, and Chasity; many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Winn Funeral Home at 2 PM on Monday, March 25, 2024 with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 10 A.M. until time of service at 2 P.M.
