Mr. Willie Gordon Marcum of Albany, Kentucky passed away at The Medical Center, in Albany, Kentucky, Thursday, March 14, 2024 having attained the age of 74 years, 9 months, and 26 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Thursday, May 19, 1949, the son of Joe Lewis and Edna Oleta (Shelton) Marcum.
He was retired and had worked at Pyles Lumber Company and Tyson. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his wife, Linda Taylor Marcum, brothers, Odell Marcum, Ronnie Marcum, and a sister, Ann Craig.
He is survived by his children, Virginia (& Tony) Delk, Tina (& Robert) Smith all of Albany, Kentucky, Dena (& Stephen Eastin) Holt of Jamestown, Kentucky, Jason (& Joyce) Marcum of Texas, Kellie Marcum, Melissa (& Tenny) Akihary, Matt Marcum all of Richmond, Kentucky, sisters, Linda Stewart of Albany, Kentucky, Wanda Edrington of Ohio, Brenda Garrett of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Tonnia Cross, brother, Bill (& Jacky) Marcum all of Albany, Kentucky, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many other relatives, and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. David Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 16, 2024 after 10:00 a.m. C.S.T. until the funeral hour. Burial will be in Central Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany is honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
